The downtown

Leesburg was established in 1758 and is the seat of Loudoun County. It grew where the Carolina Road, now U.S. 15, crossed the Potomac Ridge Road, now Route 7.

The town lists its historic downtown among its main shopping districts: historic sites and museums, restaurants, breweries, boutiques and antiques.
