The downtown
Downtown Middleburg is Washington Street and the blocks around it. Madison, Liberty and Pendleton Streets cross it; Federal and Marshall Streets run beside it. The town counts more than twenty places to eat.
The town notes that the Red Fox Inn is billed as the oldest continuously operating inn in America, open since 1728. The National Sporting Library & Museum is on The Plains Road, at the west end of downtown.
The town’s information center, the Pink Box, is staffed weekdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In winter it closes Monday through Wednesday and reopens daily in April.

Parking
The town lists free public parking in several places:
Town Hall, 10 W. Marshall St.: 41 spaces, three hours during business hours, no limit evenings and weekends, no overnight parking.
Liberty Street lot, 12 S. Liberty St.: 19 eight-hour spaces and electric-vehicle charging.
Atlantic Union Bank back lot, 105 W. Federal St.: 22 three-hour spaces, weekends and holidays only.
Most on-street parking is on Washington Street, and most of it is three-hour. Check the signs.
